German-Israeli Minerva School in 2023

Social networks and health inequalities in agein societies

The Minerva School “Social networks and health inequalities in ageing societies” aims to
establish interdisciplinary research collaborations that will enhance our understanding of the
interrelations between social relationships and health in ageing societies. The four-day school
will encompass keynote lectures from renowned researchers, as well as in-depth presentations
on research findings and methodological aspects. In small working groups, the participants
(PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from Germany and Israel) will develop concrete
research questions, discuss adequate methodological approaches and locate data sources to
answer these questions. The overall aim is to build the foundation for subsequent joint research
projects.
