Social networks and health inequalities in ageing societies

The Minerva School “Social networks and health inequalities in ageing societies” aimed to establish interdisciplinary research collaborations to enhance our understanding of the interrelations between social relationships and health in ageing societies. The four-day school encompassed keynote lectures from renowned researchers, as well as in-depth presentations on research findings and methodological aspects. In small working groups, the participants (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from Germany and Israel) developed concrete research questions, discussed adequate methodological approaches, and located data sources to answer these questions. The overall aim was to build the foundation for subsequent joint research projects.
